At Oakland Stomp & Shake Elite, we started with a simple idea: create athletes from the Midwest and directly mimic our southern style HBCU cheer styles and methods; particularly for our black & brown girls and guys!

Oakland Stomp and Shake Elite was birthed out of a passion for black empowerment for young girls within our local community. Coached by a HBCU graduate as a young athlete it was something that I wanted to foster in others when I started my own family. I have been coaching cheer for over 15 years from traditional to then evolving to stomp-

Our goal as your Assistant Coaches is to continuously bring choreography, content, and material that pays homage to the original form of HBCU Style stomp-n-shake cheer. We study the greats like; WSSU, and Virginia Union University then meeting in the middle making it our own, Midwest style.
